Gone with the wind....

Wow.  I knew I hadn't posted in quite some time, but I didn't realize it had been early April since my last post!  I have some new followers (thank you!)  and just wanted to pop in to say I'll be back when school starts.

I'm doing a pirate theme next year in the classroom, so check back in August to see pics.  Have a great summer!

I enjoyed your blog. Each year I have just a few kids that can't quite figure out how to do to counting money thing. So we use Legs on Money. Lay out the coins you want to count, with a piece of paper under them that you can mark on. Money gets 'legs', one for every count of five. So, a nickel gets one leg, a dime gets two, a quarter gets 5. Draw the legs under the corresponding money, and then just count by fives. Then you can count by ones to count the pennies. Everyone is successful, and they love it.

Sorry I had to delete my first comment it had a typo! I am your newest follower and I can't wait to see your new classroom pictures. I have often considered going with a pirate theme, but the owls always win out. Please visit my blog and see the award I gave you.
